About
Goal Driven Philanthropy is a concept created by Kim Carpenter Drake, philanthropy and marketing consultant. The basic premise of Goal Driven Philanthropy (GDP) is that sponsorships and traditional corporate giving models are outdated – instead, what is needed is a new framework for creating value for both the non-profit and donor based on the goals and mission of each.
Some marketers and fundraisers still call this cause related marketing (CRM), so I use this term frequently in blog posts and other materials. However, CRM is only a piece of the puzzle. The key difference between old ways and a new goal-driven approach is that GDP looks for more than branding – more than selling product. It bring to the discussion a comprehensive look at the values and priorities that drive partners to succeed together. To chat with Kim or to learn more about consulting and customized training services, please contact: kimcdrake@goaldrivenphilanthropy.com.
